The liable insurance company will always call you the same day a claim is made to gather information and record your statement about the accident. The insurance company seems nice to you at first; however, they are not trying to help you.

The trap that occurs is when a car accident victim does not feel any pain the first day and tells that to the insurance company, but then begins to feel pain the next day and so on. The insurance company now questions your honesty and tries to downplay your injury as being false. Remember that your not alone, as this happens often to others in the same situation. I am constantly dealing with clients that feel the insurance company is stringing them along. The liable insurance company is not your friend and not trying to help you.

After months of going back and forth with the insurance company, they try to: (1) deny or reduce liability; (2) reduce or minimize your injury claimed; or (3) make you some low settlement offer. Do not fall for these tactics employed by the insurance companies to save money at your expense.

Car accident victims often think that hiring an attorney will put them into the same result as if they just settled for the low ball offer by the insurance company. This is not true for most cases, as attorneys are able to fairly and accurately represent your auto injury claim to the insurance company, which in most cases is more than the insurance company's low offer.
